Custom Sequence Settings Not In Sequence Settings Dropdown

I created a custom edit mode but when I enter Sequence>Sequence Settings my custom mode doesn't appear in the dropdown list, so I'm unable to change existing sequences to my custom preset. Is this a bug or what?

    Create a new project with the desired sequence settings and copy and paste the clips from the old one to the new one.

    Custom presets are solely for new sequences.

    You cannot use them to change an existing sequence.
