Custom users settings - Gone after upgrade.

I rely on my keyboard settings and custom layout a lot for editing.

I've just upgraded this morning from 12 to 13 (through the CC toolbar app) and now all of my personal user settings, keyboard shortcuts, layouts have gone.

I tried syncing them from CC but nothing. This does seem to be an issue on every other upgrade I do.

I have Premiere on another machine, so I tried uploading settings from that system onto my CC and then tried a download again onto versions 13. Nothing.

Is this just the way it is with settings on upgrade? Are they incompatible with previous versions? Anyone found a solution?

Cheers

Correct answer Averdahl

If that´s the case i would manually copy the .kys-file from the other machine and place it in the same folder on the upgraded machine.

Copy your .kys file from

/Users/[username]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/13.0/Profile-[username]/Mac

and paste to

/Users/[username]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/13.0/Profile-[username]/Mac

I am not 100% sure on the paths since i am on Windows.

Hi Keith,

Sorry for your issue. I understand you are looking for the keyboard shortcuts for Adobe Premiere Pro.

+1 for Roger.

Please follow the following path:

On the Finder menu,

Go > Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 12.0 > Profile User Name > Mac

If you find any .kys file in the location mentioned above, please copy it and save it to

Go > Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 13.0 > Profile User Name > Mac

Please relaunch Adobe Premiere Pro and check if you can see your custom keyboard shortcuts

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Shivangi

What happens in you press Ctrl+Alt+K and try to find your custom settings in the Keyboard Layout Preset drop down menu up left in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog?

Sadly they're not there, just the defaults for different edit platforms.
