Question

cut between video frames

Hello,

I can only cut my video in milliseconds in the timeline and not exactly where I want. It immediately jumps to the next second. But I would like to put a cut in between.

Richard is right ... it is not possible to have 'partial' length frames in video. If your sequence is 29.97, then the shortest image duration possible is 29.97 ... period.

Edit: as caught by Remote, I was incorrect in verbiage. It is one second divided by 29.97,  or roughly 0.033 seconds. Or 33 milliseconds per frame. Which is somewhat easier to mentally align with sound time.

... should read:

"If your sequence is 29.97fps, then the shortest image duration possible is 1/29.97th of a second."

Video files can only be cut on whole frames. Think of frames of film you can't cut in the midle of a frame. Audio files, on the other hand, can be cut to sample level if you have ' Show audio time units' selected. You may have to unlink the audio track from the video if you want to cut at sample level.
