Default media scaling not working - Premiere 2024

Question

Default media scaling not working. I've set my default media scaling to "Scale to Frame Size" but when inserting clips onto my timeline, it doesn't automatically scale them up/down.

Premiere Version: 24.1.0 (Build 85)

Mac OS Version: 14.1 - Sonoma

Feature only works when set prior import. As of now, right click on image(s) in timeline and SET to Framesize.If no scaling is to be done, you can use Scale to Framesize.
