Default transition issues

As of the 12.0.0 I've noticed that some of the default transitions are not working. Specifically the "Gradient Wipe" and "Cross Zoom." It's fairly rare that I use these so it's mostly a minor inconvenience, but I do use them for two very specific edits at my job. Has anyone else had issues with this? Thanks!
