Degraded frame rate after reducing video speed

I am working on a drone project using the DJI Mavic 3. Some of the panning in my videos was too fast so I slowed the duration down, however, this greatly reduced the frame rate and created choppy footage. I only reduced the duration to 50-75% of the original speed, so I'm wondering if this is a natural side effect or not. What can I do to mitigate this?

Hi @Luke24620918afu6,

Thanks for the question. Check out the Speed/Duration dialog box. Set Time Interpolation to Optical Flow. Does that help? Let us know.

Thanks,
Kevin

@Kevin-Monahan Here is an example. The first clip is with Optical Flow, and the second is with Frame Sampling. I don't see much of a difference between the two. What do you think? What would you suggest?

It's up to you, my friend. Frame Sampling is faster to render a preview, so if it doesn't matter, go for it.

Thanks,
Kevin
