deleting audio

Hi, does anyone know how to delete audio in  the above section (the one where the audio is bigger and more clear) and then get it to automatically delete down below?

    You cannot automatically update the timeline from the source monitor.
    The bestter workflow is to delet you clip from the timeline completly, and once you select your in and out points, drag it from the source to the timeline

    Open clip from timeline, set I and O. Done.
