Question

Denoise filter applied to a track stops working

If I apply a denoise filter to a track in the Audio Track Mixer, it only works as long as I don’t click away from Premiere to another app, or the Finder. When I return, the effect no longer works and I need to re-apply it each time. Anyone else have the issue?

    Hi Bill,

    1. Are you currently running the latest patch of Premiere Pro?

    2. Have you tried applying the Denoise effect directly to individual clips in the timeline instead of at the track level?

I’ve tried both ways and the results stick sometimes -- and vanish other times. It’s maddeningly inconsistent.

I’m using v26.0.1, the latest available.

    Hi Bill,

Are you working with multiple audio tracks or just a single track when this happens? Which audio hardware or interface are you using, and is it correctly selected in Preferences→ Audio Hardware? Does this issue occur in all of your projects or only this particular one? Have you tried resetting Premiere preferences by holding Option+Shift on launch or resetting your workspace to see if that stabilizes the effect? Finally, does rendering the audio using Sequence → Render Audio make any difference in whether the effect persists?
