Diagonal danger stripes and lost links for clips in PP2020 vers 14.01

I have been working with a feature documentary since 2017 with a relatively large and growing film archive and different versions of a timeline. Yesterday I had several cases of "danger stripes" in the timeline and several clips had lost their parent root and instead connected to other root clips from other dates and folders in the project. I have not moved clips on my external hard drive, nor done changes in my project folders in PP2020. The only thing that has happened the last days is that the hard drive has disconnected from the computer without a proper eject on several occasions.

Perhaps these disturbances triggered misconnections between media files. But I doubt it.

I can manually reconnect the clips - but it is time-consuming. If there is a bug in the latest PP2020 release, v.14.10 I am afraid this will continue to happen. Has other people had the same issue?
