Digitising film to play standard DVD player

Can someone tell me the best file format to digitise by completed film so it can play on both a standard DVD player and in a PC DVD drive. I have exported my film on the following H.264; H.264bluray; MP3; MPeg2bluray and MPeg2-DVD. Film transferred easily using H.264 but none of the aforesaid work on a PC drive.

Thanks

All good points mentioned above about maintaining quality. In answer to your question you could choose H264 NTSC Widescreen on output. If you go to your CreatIve Cloud app you can go to the apps tab and click on the drop down to download Premiere Cs6.

This will also install Encore which is Adobe’s DVD publishing software. The format that I mentioned will be compatible with Encore and what you’d like to do.

You would have to go through the steps to publish the DVD.

Are you planning to make a DVD or Bluray? Is your film standard def or high def?

Just a standard DVD. Footage was recorded using a 4K camcorder. The final film was transferred onto a DVD-R 4.7 gb 16 x speed disc. Works fine on a PC drive.

To play in a DVD player, the disk must be "authored," not just have the video file burned onto it. DVD is a fraction of the resolution of a 4K file (or HD). Are you sure that is what you want?

Export to H.264 mp4.

Almost all modern TVs will playback mp4's on a USB stick. Some players may play mp4 files on disks, but don't count on it.
