Direct Manipulation - has lock axis with Shift changed?
When you are moving a clip directly on the program monitor, you can use the shift key to lock the movement to a single axis. However, you must hold Shift before you start to move the clip, otherwise the axis locks it to the current position, wherever that is instead of the initial position of that axis.
I am certain that it wasn't like this before, but perhaps I'm wrong. Has anyone noticed this? If this is a new method, does it work best for you in comparison to how it was?
I don't have an issue with the principle of it, but I work between Premiere and AE a lot. So I've been trying to train my brain to press Shift before moving the clip in Pr, but then I go to AE and there you MUST press shift after you start moving the clip. I am going insane between the two.
