Disabling ALT menu bar toggle

In Premiere, is there a way to disable the ALT button (on PC) toggling to the menu bar in the top left of the screen? It's so frustrating when using ALT on the timeline to zoom in and out and most times it toggling up to the menu bar. Thank you. (See picture below)

    The problem is the Windows OS ... I know because that frustrates me also. Windows sees the Alt key being pressed, and assumes you want it to send you to the open application's Menu system.

     

    I heavily use keyboard shortcuts within Premiere, but rarely use them in Windows general stuff. So I think I need to figure out how to modify the Windows hot-key setup to simply ignore the Alt key.
