Question

Displaying Individual Tracks After Multicam Editing

Hello everyone,

I have a bit of a newbie question regarding multicam editing.

I'm looking for a way to display the individual tracks after having done the editing in multicam mode.

Essentially, I want the tracks of the different cameras to be displayed one below the other with the edits applied.

So far, the only thing I've found is that all the unedited tracks of the multicam sequence are displayed in the editing window.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank you!

@Oliver36021543qyd7 There isn't a built-in way to automatically take all of the angles of the multicam out of their multicam container. The closest thing you can do is right click on a multicam clip and choose Multi-Camera > Flatten. This will take only the active angle of that clip and replace it on top of the multicam clip. You can select all the clips in your sequence and do this in one operation, you don't need to go clip by clip. It's good practice to duplicate your sequence before you do this, so you have a version of it with the multicam clips if you ever need to go back to it. You can also use Sequence > Simplify Sequence to do this in one step. Turn off everything except "Flatten Multi-cam" and it will make a new sequence with the flattened multicams for you.

Check out the third-party plugin "Grave Robber" for a potential solution to fully un-nest your multicam clips: https://knightsoftheeditingtable.com/grave-robber
