does speeding up footage, editing it, and reverting it, create audio lag

I have been editing my videos regularly for a while and have never had problems with the audio. But recently I started editing all my clips at 150% speed to improve my efficiency. However, I have noticed that all of my finished products have a significant lag between the audio and the video. I'm unsure if that is due to my editing at a higher speed, or because I have started filming longer in camera, leading to some nasty audio drift prior to the editing. I dont think the drift would affect it though, because i fix it prior to editing

 

Can anyone help?

What are the sequence settings?

Make sure the sequence settings match the media properties before making speed changes.

It shouldn't.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:
