Doesn’t want to drag effect on audio

I need help whenever i drag an effect to the audio It can't be put on It made a smal hand with no sign

It would be good to have a screengrab of the header block ... the controls on the left end of the timeline panel. Use the picture icon to select the file to upload so that it "puts" the image directly into your reply like this image below.

 

In that image, the far left blue blocks V1 and A1 are on tracks V1 and A1 ... those are the Source patching controls, for bringing things in from the Source monitor or using insert/overwrite additions to the timeline. You can have only one each audio and video tracks set for incoming media.

 

The right set of blue blocks are track targets for doing work within the sequence. The padlocks are for locking or unlocking tracks, and the linked rectangles show whether tracks are linked to other tracks or not.

That most often is cause by the track being locked ... is the little padlock icon on the track header closed and blue, or open and white? In my example below, the padlock icon for A1 is blue and closed ... that track is locked, and no changes can be made to it.

 

Click on the blue padlock icon, and it will become like the others here, and you can add effects or anything else to that track.

No it's not locked when I dragged the audio it doesn't want to be added in a1 or a2 or a3 it was added in A4 and it doesn't want to drag the effect on it
