The first time I upgraded to Premiere Pro CC 2018, I continually received a message that the Dolby Digital Codec was missing.  I uninstalled Premiere 2018.  When I reinstalled it, I no longer received the message.  I can now import my AVCHD video files without the message appearing.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  I read several reports previously on this forum about this issue.  I downloaded Premiere Pro CC 2018 two weeks ago.  When I downloaded it yesterday, I thought there might have been and upgrade.

Adobe removed Dolby Digital Decoding in CC 2018 since the OS has native support for this codec. Here's a post I just found on this matter: Changes to Dolby Decoding and Encoding Support

Is there a question you're asking here?

Do you see a question mark at the end of any of my sentences?  I made this statement to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

Except you didn't ask if anyone else was having this problem. It looked like you might have been filing a bug report, which some people try to do here. If that was the case I was going to point you to the proper place so the product teams could get your feedback, as they don't monitor these public forums.
