Download CS7 - not immediately available anymore via CC app

Hi,

I've been working with cs7 (2017) versions of Premiere, AfterEffects, Media Encoder etc- which are optimised for my imac, graphics card etc- they work great.

However recently I uninstalled and reinstalled - and then found that CS7 versions were no longer immediately available from the CC app. Customer support are useless.

I desperately need those versions- I have installed CS9 versions and frankly they are slower, not optimised for this imac- and it's impossible to export 4K+ footage bc there is no hardware acceleration.

AKA- I absolutely need to go back to 2017/CS7 where none of these issues existed.

Does anyone know how? I've downloaded some copies from a third party website but am enormously reitcent about running these wild copies on my work machine.

Correct answer Ann Bens

There is no way to go back to 2017.

Only last to versions are available.

btw there are no cs7 or cs9 rather 2017 - 2019.

Guess what? All of those third-party copies that you downloaded are likely counterfeit. And even if you can find a way to install it, Adobe is now completely blocking the activation of new installations and/or reinstallations of all CC versions prior to the 2018 version as those older versions are now flagged as "unauthorized," while continuing to permit the use of already-installed copies of such older versions.

This sounds like it would be absolutely correct.

It just seems so arbitrary and unneccessary to eliminate older versions- it essentially acts to penalise those with older hardware with little or no net benefit.

The differences between the versions are marginal at best for most uses

No valid third party sources. I now create a clone of my computers every time I do a major update of anything.

This is something I absolutely wish I had done.

OK 2017 versions- what about third party locations? Are there any installers available online from other sources other than Adobe?
