Drive disconnect

The drive that stores all my media for a project got disconnected. The timeline now displays "media offline"

How do I get Ap ProCC to reconnect to the original media?

    Select the offline clips in the Project Panel. Once selected, right click (control click) and choose Link Media from the drop down menu.

    Thanks so much, you just saved me from heart palpitations!

    Is there a way to have two separate projects up at the same time. I want to recut the project based on advice from this forum, and be able to look at my original cut for reference.

    Do you mean have two timelines open at the same time?
