Drop Shadow Crash PP24 - Why How?

Day one level effects, (this elementary editing) drop shadow crashes PP24.  I added a drop shadow to a photo on the timeline, used the 0.0 to slide the value, and the program froze, turned the media green.

When do users get to charge Adobe Inc. for being beta testers? Not asking for much only $58 an hour? I see the CEO did a nice 31 million in 2022.
