Drop shadow not showing on Premiere Pro

Hi,

I've been trying to apply the drop shadow effect onto a piece of text but it's just not showing up on the project screen. However when I scroll on the parameters of the drop shadow effect, I can see the drop shadow "preview" but as soon as I let go of scrolling it disappears...

I'm working on the latest version of Premiere Pro on Windows 10. Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

Thanks everyone but I solved the problem. I used the Global FX Mute and it's finally showing up!

I've had similar issues when using the crop effect in addition to the drop shadow. The drop shadow effect has to be under the crop effect in the effect controls tab.

    This did work for me.

Does anyone know how to fix Uni. Longshadow not showing up in my video preview? Like for my actual video itself instead of text. I tried Nesting my clip and then added my Effect, but still nothing. Not to mention that the same can go for other Universe FX I have.

So ... you're using the Drop Shadow effect from the Effects List, correct?

How are you getting the text in ... ?

    Try resetting the preferences:

FAQ: How to reset preferences in Premiere Pro?

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

    Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

    1. Do one of the following:
      • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
      • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

    from here:

If that doesn’t work ,try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
