Question

DSLR camera: Canon EOS 90D - Are it's photo and video files format "RAW CR3" supported by Adobe?

Hi all,

Can anyone please assist me?

I've read some reviews that people have specifically not been able to import "Canon EOS 90D" camera photo and video "RAW CR3" files into adobe software for editing.

Can RAW CR3 video files from this particular camera be used/imported into Adobe Premiere Pro, or photo's into Adobe Photoshop?

And if not, is there a planned CR3 file update available soon or is there a workaround solution, that does not reduce the quality if importing HD and 4k videos, and photo's please?

The adobe help page for supported camera's suggests that an 11.4 raw plugin version or minimum lightroom version 2.4 or minimum classic lightroom 8.4 version is required to facilitate imports of the Canon 90D CR3 file:

If this is correct, which particular download or lightroom subscription plan would cover this please?

Hi,

I heard from the product team. The format is not supported at this time. Can you try transcoding the footage to ProRes or DNxHR to continue your project? Let me know if that works. You can make a feature request to support that format here.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi @TGregz2020,

Sorry for the issue. The list of supported formats is here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/supported-file-formats.html I will try and get a response for you from the team, as well. Sorry about the issue.

Thanks,
Kevin
