Question

Ducking audio

Has Adobe recently made changes to the ducking audio/generating key frames? I was one version behind on updates, and updated yesterday. I used ducking audio today, and it was awful. It was either way too loud or way too quiet. It's a feature I use almost every day. Today's use of it was so bad that I just went through and keyframed myself the volume of the audio. Most of my stuff is pretty basic for a music bed; just duck the audio when there are voices. It's not hard to do manually, but the automatic was a time-saver. So, I wasn't sure if there was an update to it, and I no longer know how to use it properly.

Hi Indiana Realtor Video,

Welcome to the community! The Ducking feature seems to be working properly at my end. Are you experiencing this with any specific audio clips or all of them? Also, if you are using a project created in any of the previous versions, have you tried creating a new project in the latest version to test if it's working properly?

Thanks,

Sumeet

it's been all music clips that I have tried. This project was created after the update as well. All the settings look the same, but the way it's ducking and lower (or not lowering) is so far off from what it should/used to be

You can tweak the settings.

Might need to reset preferences.
