Dynamic Link issues

Strange problem with dynamic link: Clips in premiere I'd replaced with AE comps suddenly stopped updating. Deleted the clip and then imported the comp again from AE. The comps were up to date, however on rendering in to out the clips reverted back to the same as before. I've deleted and cleaned cache on AE and Premiere. So how is it showing work from ages ago? Please help this so frustrating!

    One possibility, don't use numbers anywhere in AE.  Not the comp names, not the project name.  If you must use numbers, spell them out.  Comp One, Comp Two, etc.
