Easiest way to keep MOGRTs linked in Premiere when opening the project on a different device?
Hello! The team I work on uses MOGRTs in Premiere frequently and some Premiere projects can contain 10+ MOGRTs. We all set our CC Libraries and MOGRT scratch to Documents. We are mostly accessing our team MOGRTs through a shared CC library. When the MOGRT gets imported, the .aegraphic files are getting burried in a wild folder structure in our Documents folder. The sub-folders being created in Documents contain one .aegraphic each and have odd folder names like this: 0b46a8e6-c243-42a5-83f9-d751a30a3cd4, making it very difficult to locate the .aegraphic files. When the Premiere project is opened on a different machine, all of the MOGRTs are unlinked. The quickest way I've found to relink them is to create a new project, import the MOGRTs, Reveal in Finder one by one via the Project panel, and copy each .aegraphic to a more accessible folder, and then you have to relink each MOGRT one at a time, even when all the .aegraphic files are now in the same folder and you've selected all the unlinked MOGRTs together in the Project panel to relink. My solution right now is to generate .aegraphics for all our MOGRTs and store them in one folder to at least eliminate the need to re-import, reveal, copy... but I still have to relink them 1 at a time, which is frustrating. And I need to generate like 50 .aegraphic files. I found an older thread related to this issue:
In 2018, Adobe people said that they were aware of the issue and saying the workflow is a WIP, but it's 2024 and it seems that nothing has been done to fix this, at least from my perspective. What am I doing wrong? We're accessing via our CC library. Are we doing the scratch settings wrong? How do we re-link MOGRTs efficiently when opening a Premiere project on another device? This fault in the workflow has wasted so much of my time, aren't MOGRTs supposed to save us time? Any advice would be appreciated.
