What is the difference between: show clip mismatch warning dialog, to: fit clip dialog opens for edit range mismatches?

Show clip mismatch warning dialog refers to dragging a clip into and empty timeline, where the source properties do not match the current sequence settings and choosing the desired consequences - either changing the sequence settings to match the source properties, or ignoring the discrepancy.

 

Fit clip dialog opens for edit range mismatches refers to flagging and allowing a preset behavior for a discrepancy between the actual in and out point duration in the timeline and the actual in and out point duration in the source material (or vice versa), allowing you to choose a default behavior for that condition.

When you use the always remain choice, this panel won't show up again. So you can use the Fit clip dialog opens for edit range mismatches to bring it back.
