Editing In 4K Crashes Premier Pro
Hello everyone, I edit loads of video and used to edit in 1080p 60FPS.
I now have a new Panasonic GH5 and started editing 4K 60FPS.
I upgraded PC Components and here is the full spec below.
CPU - i7 9700K (8 Cores)
RAM - 32GB Vengeance LPX (2x 16GB)
GPU - RTX 2060
NVME M.2 1TB - SX8200 Pro (Scratch Disk)
NVME M.2 512GB - 600p Intel SSD (C Drive)
OS - Windows 10 64bit
Now, i'm no rocket scientist, but i'm pretty sure I shouldn't be having the issues im having when editing in 4K.
Premier Pro is so laggy, especially when applying transitions to cuts. It can take upto 5 seconds to play when pressing play.
Then sometimes it just decides to crash!!
I have tried everything and now i convert everything via proxy and edit in low resolution, then export in 4K!!!!
But surely I shouldn't have to do that with the system I have?? Please help!
Paul
