Question

Editing Markers contents in xmp file

Hello,

I exported an XMP sidecar file including Markers and the Markers included comments about them.
I opened the XMP file with a text editor and edited the comments about Markers.
Then, I re-opened the project which was related to the metadata(XMP sidecar file), and found that nothing had changed about the Markers.
Is there any way to edit the contents of the Markers outside of Premiere Pro?

Try to use the Import/Export under Marker in Automation Blocks:

Is there any specific reason why you want to edit markers outside of Premiere Pro?

You can always edit Markers comments from the Markers tab inside Premiere Pro.

Make sure you do not have any clips selected on your timeline for sequence markers

to appear there with comment editing. Having a clip selected will display markers for

the clip and not sequence markers.

Yes, as @Carlos Ziade says, importing and exporting to spreadsheet with my (paid) extension Automation Blocks is a good option.

See this tutorial

It really sounds strange that the marker info in the sidecar file is not considered.
Does it make a difference if in Premiere Pro's Prefereces->Media "Write Clip Markers to XMP" is checked or not?
