If you do not have a consistent setting of color management in Premiere Pro now, this will happen.

I would recommend going to the Lumetri panel, the Settings tab (the one NAMED Settings) and doing the following:

  • Display Color Management to on.
  • Auto detect log to on.
  • Auto tonemapping to on.
  • Sequence color space set to Rec.709.
  • Viewing gamma set to 2.2/web unless! you are in a pretty darkened room, as a pro colorist would work in, which would need the gamma 2.4/broadcaset setting; or if you prefer the Mac-specific 1.96/Quicktime setting.
  • ONLY use export presets designed for the sequence color space. If sequence is Rec.709, use only export presets without HLG or PQ in the preset name.
Everyone's mileage always varies ...

Hey Francisco,

I'm sorry to hear about this. Do you still see the issue when you import the footage back to Premiere Pro? Is your sequence and export in an HDR color space? If possible, please share comparative screenshots of the issue. That helps us better understand the problem.

Thanks,

Ishan
