effects controls suddenly vanish

Sometimes the clip I've selected, the effects controls suddenly vanish

They only come back if you do something like save, or switch sequences, but only temporarily:

 

 

I've seen after a quick google that this has been a reoccuring bug over many versions, as far back as 2016

 

This is a brand new mac and a fresh install of Premiere

    Does this happen with any sequences and/or projects? Maybe it's a specific project bug?

    this time is in a multicam sequence

    The team will want to know precise information in order to reproduce the error. Mac model, HD, and RAM. Info about your media drive might help, as would full details on the source media.
