EFFET MANQUANT

Language differences can be frustrating. I've enough knowledge of Norwegian and German to know how difficult it is to really translate well. And my attempts at speaking French have sent my friends who do speak French well into gales of laughter. I clearly don't quite speak it correctly ... though it's beautiful to listen to.

Effects available in Premiere can change over time.

Some effects, like the timecode burn-in, are new, and not on previous versions of Premiere. That came in around 23.3, I think.

Some effects have been in the Obsolete bin for some time, and those will not ever be updated. Will disappear completely from anyone's computer at some point. And will not ever be available on the M series Macs, because they would have to have written new code for that series of CPUs. Which ... they're obsolete, they have stated they will not rewrite the code.

And I don't think there is even an Obsolete bin in the Effects panel in the M series Macs ... though I could easily be wrong. As there's nothing to put in there at this point.

And it seems there has always been a few small differences between what's available on a PC and a Mac for effects.

Which specific number version of Premiere are you using?

As things have changed even during the current 23.x series. There are some things that are new, such as the Metadata and Time Code Burn-in effect, which was added (as I recall) somewhere in the 23.x cycle. It's not there in the 22.x PrPro ... and I think came in somewhere around 23.3 or so.

Another place things change, is if the effect was in the Obsolete bin. If you're on a newer M1 or M2 Macs, those effects will not be there. "Obsolete" meant they were old code and were not going to be updated. As the M series Macs use different code, they're not there.

There are a few other effects that have been different from time to time between say Macs and PCs.

If you are on a Mac several effects have been discontinued.
