Encore CS6 update AFTER end-of-life??

Hey all...Here's the deal:  I recently installed Premiere Pro CS6 (from the Previous versions section of CC) just to get Encore for making the occasional basic DVD for clients that ask for one.  I then uninstalled PPro CS6 while leaving only Encore.  Everything is fine, no problems, I'm happy.

The other day I got a notification that there's an update to PPro CS6 that includes an update to Encore CS6.

I thought Encore CS6 reached "end of life" back in 2013!...pretty confusing.

I obviously don't want or need an update to PPro CS6 since I don't use it AND I uninstalled it....However IF I wanted JUST the update to Encore CS6 is there a way to do it?

At some point in the past (I don't know the exact date) Adobe "merged" the original update manager into the Cloud update manager, which means you are no longer using your original update manager

I have read some messages that the latest (Cloud) updater sometimes doesn't work with old programs... Try installing your updates manually

Updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Open Encore, help -> about. What version does it show? 6.0.0 or 6.0.2?

If you are Mac, the final version is 6.0.1; if Windows, 6.0.2

    Windows:

    Adobe - Encore : For Windows : Encore CS6 6.0.2 update

    Mac:

Adobe - Encore : For Macintosh : Encore CS6 update

Strangely enough it's showing Version 6.0.0.492...I followed the Mac link for 6.0.1 out of curiosity and I didn't see a date for it but the file name includes "Encore Trial".

I'm going to take the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach here...I rarely get asked for DVD copies anymore, plus after a couple of test DVDs it's doing exactly what I needed it to do.

Thanks for your response!  Have a good one!

The links are broken for the fixes in 6.0.1. I recall that they were significant, but you may not experience them.

    Good luck!
