Encore stops responding while importing or transcoding until its shut down, any help please?

It says ''not responding'' right after it imports or transcoding. Took an hour for it to get through the import as for the transcoding it takes forever. Ive tried retrying for the last 3 days, but nothing. Ive uninstalled premier and encoder, but still nothing. Ive tried it all.

What OS? If windows, be sure you are running "as administrator," not just in an account with administrative rights.

Also try running as windows compatibility for win 7.

Sometimes it imports okay? Otherwise you'd never get to the transcoding step. The better workflow is to transcode before bringing the asset into Encore.
