Enhance speech not as effective as it was two weeks ago

I had to take a break from my editing for two weeks, but when I pushed "enhance" for audio, a few things started happening:

1. Sometimes it would process for two seconds and then would finish, which I thought was weird because previously it would take a few minutes.

2. Even when the audio processes for the lenght I would expect, the cleanliness of the audio is pretty bad all of a sudden. Two weeks ago the sound was so crisp and so professional sounding. I'm pretty sure I'm doing the exact same process as I did two weeks ago so I don't know what would account for the drastic difference in sound quality.

3. When I slide the bar to "10", no audio comes out at all.

I have restarted the program, rebooted my computer, and tried multiple audio clips. Any help in figuring out how to get the sound back to the quality it once was would be much appreciated!
