Eratic behavor on audio waveforms

My sound waves are going back and forth while working. It works when I turn it off and on again. But it causes distraction. Is there a solution or is this a bug?

I am a Film Editor. Also an Avid Media Composer user.
But I think you can connect movies with Premiere Pro.
