HI there, I am receiving the error message ‘premier pro requires access to the following folders documents’; it directs me to the system settings. However, there I can see that they already have full access to the disk. There is no option to chose the folder ‘documents’. I already uninstalled and installed Premier multiple times, as well as all the Adobe apps and creative cloud and installed them back again. But it did not solve the issue. Thanks

Thank you. Actually, what worked was to check on Privacy & Security, full disk access and toggle that one. Altough it it said that Premier had access to the full disk, on Privacy & Security, it was not toggled… Many thanks

It might also be worth checking that Premiere is enabled in Privacy & Security > Files & Folders

    Hi,

Sorry you're running into this issue.

Since you've already reinstalled Premiere Pro and confirmed that Full Disk Access is enabled, this sounds more like a macOS permissions issue than an installation problem.

    Could you let us know:

    • Which macOS version you're using.

    • Which Premiere Pro version you're running.

    • Whether the error appears at launch or only when opening/creating a project.

Also, if possible, please share a screenshot of the error message and System Settings > Privacy & Security. That will help us determine why macOS isn't offering the Documents permission.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

Sorry for my late reply, but I did not receive the notification. I am using MacOS Tahoe 26.5.2, Premier 2026, installed on 28/07/2026. The error opens when I launch the program, it directs me to privacy settings, I check that it has access to the full disk, and after that I receive a message saying that it needs to restart, but it does not work afterwards. This process is looped everytime I try to open it. Many thanks
