Essential sound edit isn't taken into account in the final render

I'm applying a simply Match and a Duck of the audio track against the voice track, to have a background song going. On the render timeline the effect is working and the song volume is indeed lower than the voice one. But in the final render it exports the file WITHOUT those effects for some reason. It's as if I didn't apply them at all.

Version 15.4

Tried restarting pc, restarting program, reapplying effects. Nothing worked

The only thing that did work was manually making the entire volume of the track lower, which is a lower quality solution than ducking automatically.

Also, for some reason, the main voice track saves with the Match setting applied

Correct answer Khris G

The fix was to rollback both premiere pro and media encoder to 15.2 .

Hi Khris G,

A fix for this bug has been released in the Beta version of Premiere Pro [v22.0 Build 87]. Can you verify if this is working fine now?

NOTE: Premiere Pro Beta is a separate install and will not interfere with/uninstall the exisiting version of Premiere Pro on your machine.

Thanks,

Rameez

I updated to 22 in hope it would fix this, after converting my existing project where this bug was occuring it did not fix the issue.

You may want to try resetting your preferences:

Close the app. On Windows hold down shift/control/alt and click on the app and continue to hold the keys.

Let your system make changes and then reopen the project.

Same procedure for Mac but hold dow shift/command/option.

Hi Khris G,

We're sorry about the poor experience. Is this happening with any specific project or all the projects? Have you tried importing the original project file in a new project & checked if it's working properly?

Thanks,

Sumeet
