Expedited Rush Mobile to Premiere workflow
I am having difficulty migrating Rush Mobile to Premiere. While on site at weddings, I load video to my android phone and create a first draft edit during breaks in the days activities. This has been enormously helpful in reducing time to final draft. However, it is best when I can skip the cloud syncing of all content.
Uploading and downloading 20+GB of footage could take hours on my home internet. Ive successfully skipped this process by syncing long enough for the Rush project to appear on the cloud and then disconnecting my phone from all network connections. I open the project in premiere, and I receive the missing files message. I directly transfer my footage from memory cards to the pc and relink the media. It is fantastic when it works, but I only have success 25% of the time. The rest of the time consists of errors in Rush desktop about failure to open autosaves, premiere freezing and doing nothing when the rush project is chosen, and the worst is when the process causes the mobile rush project to become corrupted and cannot be opened. This behavior occurs both on PC and Mac.
What process can I follow to get the benefits of rough editing in Rush mobile and finishing in Premiere without the two way file transfer of the cloud?
