Export creating 2 files

After update, I've tried most of the limited Export choice for H.264 format but 2 files are being created instead of the one mp4. Is there a way to fix?

This is actually happening to me as well. Here's a screenshot of a finished file and its doppelganger...
Both finished MP4 files work individually, so not sure why Premiere is making two? If I delete one I have no issue using the other one...?

Not really an issue but weird.

Your issue is different from the original question which is about mulitplexing.

Open the properties and check the time when they were made.

    Hey nataliel,

While exporting to h.264, two files are created initially, which are then combined together (called muxing) into a single mp4 file. Please wait for the process to finish completely and you will get an mp4 file.

    Thanks,

Hi, Happy New Year! Yes, even after fully finished still two files never mixed. I am using H.264 with every choice available like Vimeo 1080 or YouTube .. 4k etc. Not sure it matters, but my sequence is 4K

I tested using Media Encoder and same project same format H.264 exports just fine finishing as one mp4. So it's a Premier Pro 2018 bug

Tested on windows and it exports as a 1 file mp4.

Are you using a Blu Ray preset?

If yes, I think that is correct, since Encore expects separate audio and video to author a disc
