I'm posting this rather flippantly because quite simply, I don't have the time to troubleshoot your software for you. The issues have been well documented for months with no fix (no, the beta version doesn't fix it. no, version 15.4.1 didn't fix it).
Editing on any m1 mac system with 10 bit, 4:2:2, h.264 files shot in 4k 60p (shot on the A7siii) can NOT be played back within premiere, let alone exported in premiere (or media encoder), without MASSIVE glitches involving large percentages of the frames. Take a look at the screenshot of this wedding dress. This happens in every clip, at random, multiple times. These glitches absolutely cripple the entire software, which had no problems before the last few updates. I've been running 15.2 to get around this (thank god I found that workaround, with no help from Adobe's team).
Also, can we just talk for a quick minute about how exporting while editing with proxies is just broken? This is on windows and mac. Random proxy watermarks will flash in the final export, signaling to me the final export is using the PROXY for a few frames here and there???? So to everyone not using watermarks, their videos are just having proxy footage tossed in here and there and they might not even notice because it's just a single frame here and there. Did you just hope we wouldn't notice that or? This is fixed by the way, by turning off proxies entirely in the project file. But I shouldn't have to remember to keep detaching proxies every single time i make an export. It's ridiculous.
I do this full time, so yes, I'm angry. These issues have been well documented for months and there is no solution for us. Some of us actually need this thing to work, you know, to make a living? I don't want to switch out of Adobe ecosystem since I still do enjoy lightroom/photoshop/indesign, but I will happily switch to Final Cut for video editing if these basic issues don't get fixed. Another solution I will accept, would be if Adobe were to take the word "Pro" out of the 'Premiere Pro' software title, since this is not currently a professional piece of software. It runs like a hastily produced app on a phone.
Looking forward to everything below. If I don't respond right away, it's because I'm re-exporting another video because I forgot to detach all the proxies from the files before exporting.
