Export Panel never remembers layout

Frequently, when I go to export something from PPro, I need to edit its filename, and usually the most important bit is the end/suffix/version number, etc. So I diligently drag the "Settings" section to be a bit wider, so I can see the full filename. Imagine my disappointment when, the next time, in the same project, I export something, then Settings section has re-narrowed itself and I have to embiggen it again. And again. Every. Single. Time. I note that everything in the Window menu, including the Workspaces submenu, is greyed out, so there's no way I can adjust the panel's size and then do a "Save Changes to this Workspace" to fix it at that size.

Could this get fixed so PPro remembers the width of this panel, please?
