    Hello:

I'm updating my reply to include screen shots of the corresponding AME presets.

Presets Browser > System Presets > Broadcast > Apple ProRes > Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)

Important note: The Apple ProRes presets are an "Add-On" that must be downloaded and installed (Creative Cloud Desktop does not provide this functionality).  These Add-Ons are available here: Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder : For Macintosh (Scroll to the bottom of the page for the Add-On download links.  If running CC 2015 or 2017, download the 2014.1 ProRes presets.)

    Presets Browser > System Presets > Broadcast > MPEG2 > HD 1080p 29.97

    Here's a quick spec re-write:

    This...

    Container

    .mov

    GOP

    Not applicable

    Video Codec

    Apple ProRes HQ 4:2:2

    Format

    QuickTime

    Frame Size

    1920 x 1080

    Frames Rate

    29.97 (NTSC)

    Aspect Ratio

    16:9

    Audio Sample Rate

    48 kHz/ 16bit

    Audio Channels

    4 channels (separate sound tracks)

    Audio CODECNone

    Or this...

    Containers

    .mpg

    GOP

    LONG GOP

    Video Codec

    MPEG-2 Video

    Format

    MPEG

    Frame Size

    1920 x 1080

    Frames Rate

    29.97 (NTSC)

    Aspect Ratio

    16:9

    Audio Sample Rate

    48 kHz/ 16bit

    Audio Channels

    4 channels (separate sound tracks)

    Audio CODECNone (Linear PCM)

But not both in the same file.

If you're on a Mac and have the Apple ProRes presets installed, then there's a preset for Apple ProRes 422 (HQ): Format: QuickTime, Preset: Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)

For the MPEG-2 file: Format: MPEG2, Preset HDV 1080i 29.97 (After exploring the file, you should be able to just change the .mpg extension to .mov, but I'd make a duplicate of the .mpg file first so that you have both.)

You're listing under Format should actually be under Codec.  ProRes is a codec, not a format.

So your specs actually list two video codecs, MPEG 2 and ProRes.

But it can't be both, so you should have your source clarify what is needed.

Kevin is correct for a Mac user, however if you work on the PC you cannot export ProRes files at all.

Also, you might want to verify with whoever supplied the requirements - do they really want 30 frames per second, or is that shorthand for the correct 29.97 frames per second used for NTSC video?

EDIT: the more I look at the specs, the less they make any sense! It says Long-GOP, which would make the format inter-frame, but ProRes is an intra-frame codec. Also says MPEG-2, but ProRes is not MPEG-2.....it is ProRes. Contradictory terms all over the place.

    Thanks
