Export Selection as Premiere Project

In Premiere Pro 2022 (22.5.0), the "Export -> Selection as Premiere Project" is not working properly. In Premiere Pro 2021, when using this export selection premiere would create that specific sequence into it's own premiere project. However, when I tried to use this export in Premiere 2022, it's just exporting out the full project and not just the selected sequence. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

I'm running Premiere Pro 22.6.2 and both working in Silicon and Intel (using Rosetta) does not work. I did try on a M1 Pro Macbook Pro, M1 Max Mac Studio and a 2020 Intel iMac all on macOS Monterey. Looking for any updates. Thanks.
