Export Settings for a 90min sequence with multiple formats and frame rates

Question

Hi all! Exporting a 90-min film with lots of old video formats and multiple frame rates (yeah I know the whole project needs to be reorganized correctly with transcodes, etc, but here I am). I'm experimenting w export settings because I'm getting rendered video looking unrendered/pixelated in the export. I don't know what 1 pass v 2 pass will do for me, max render quality, max render depth, etc. I'm trying a prores export that I'll then use to make a 720p vimeo file, I'm also trying an H264 / match source, and an H264 / 720p which is what I'd normally spit out for a vimeo link. Then I will compare.

I'm on a 2021 Macbook Pro version 12.2 Monterey, and Premiere 2023. My sequence is 1920x1080, 23.976

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Hi @letsmakethings2016,'I read your note. Sorry you are struggling with this. You have a unique problem in having to make so many formats work in a single timeline. You are facing some consequences in your workflow. I do understand. I would suggest that you look at the formats you have and let the lion's share of the clips dictate the frame rate of your sequence settings. Transcode the other formats to match the sequence settings as closely as possible. It sounds like that's the conclusion you have also drawn. I would travel down that road if I were in your position.
