Export settings for broadacast

We have been asked to make a 30 second TV commercial and understand the correct export format for broadcast is MXF OP1a. using the preset XDCAM HD 50 Pal 50i.

However when uploaded to Vimeo a recommendation comes up saying the KBit/s rate should be at least 10000.

If this is correct is there any way of increasing it before export?

Brian

As far as my knowledge goes, XDCAM is not a suitable codec for Vimeo. Try uploading a h.264 MP4 as the preset for Vimeo in Media Encoder. XDCAM is used for television broadcast not for online.

The correct format for broadcasting is H.264 with a preset that is 1080p as this will work on all devices.

    Hey Dogminder

    XDCAM HD422 is a 50Mb/s codec... that's a data rate of 50000Kb/s.

    Cheers
