Export Ultra-Wide 5450x1080

I've created my sequence and edited my project with the dimensions of 5450x1080, but I am having a difficult time exporting my file with these same specs. Is there a solution to export a custom size?

    I've just requested info from them on the format they need. In the past, it's always been h264 or ProRes, but I've never dealt with a screen size like this before.


    hopefully Meg the Dog will back me up on this but the main trouble here is that you should work in square pixels. you are not. (which is probably why MtD in his wisdom asked for you to show your sequence settings in the first place)

    so change it. (unless you have been informed otherwise but I doubt it)

    next is the export issue. ProRes limits at 5k from what I have read and you are a bit more than that.

    I'd wait on their answer. but I would go with either one of those:

    1. use a 3rd party plugin named x264 pro that is installed as a format right in AME (which is great) that can handle this resolution for an mp4 file. (checked it now and it works)

    2. render Quicktime Animation and then send that file to Handbrake which is a free x.264 encoder. (very easy - drag and drop, set a preset, hit start) that will give you 5450x1080 in an mp4 file (checked it now and it works - set it to legacy normal in the presets)

    2. render Quicktime Jpeg2000 and go with that

    your resolution is above 4K so H.264 through AME is off the table. where is this video going? did you receive any specifications for your output from a client/any other?  most playback software or platforms won't necessarily play this video smoothly. there are ways to export this file but first we need to determine where is this going to be played.

    Can you be more specific about what you are trying to do?

    Some codecs, have frame size limitations.

    I produced a video for an awards ceremony, shot in 4K, edited in 1920x1080. The AV company that is running the ceremony told me after the fact that the projection screen is 5450x1080, so I need to deliver a file with those dimensions. I created a new sequence (DVCPro Codec I believe) and custom made the resolution 5450x1080. I dropped the video in the center and added graphics on each side to fill the frame. It looks cool, everyone is happy... The problem is I can't find any settings that allow me to export with these dimensions. Even when I try to customize it, it won't allow me to go higher than 4096. Preferably I would like this to be an h264, but a quicktime file would be cool too. If I need to start from scratch with a new sequence, that's fine too. I've tried using the "Match Source High Bitrate" option under h264, but the outputted file comes out as 6144x1080... I have a feeling it might have to do with the DVCPro 1.5, or square pixels, or maybe something else... It's over my head.
