Question

Export video and sounds is out of sync

Hello,
I have tried to solve this issue for weeks and I can't seem to get it right... I am working on simple videos, the audio was recorded with a mix that was directly connected to the camera during the process. All the clips and the audio is aligned on the timeline.

Once I export my video, the audio goes out of sync after seconds. It is in constant and growing delay to the video clips. I have all the files saved on my computer and not on an external drive. I have exported with numerous settings includig 4K and HD. I have tried to upload the files and there was no change.

To be honest, I am desperate for a solution. Please help.

Can you please share your system info? Like OS and version, CPU, RAM, GPU vRAM, Pr version? Thanks. Also a screengrab of your sequence settings and of your exports settings will be helpful.

Question: does the audio stay sync when you play the sequences? If so, export a Quicktime ProRes version first and transcode that mov to h264.

Hi thank you for your reaction.
I am working on a Lenovo computer that has Windows 10 installed.

Processor  AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.00 GHz

RAM  8 GB (7,55 usable)
Systemtype  64-Bit

I am using the latest version of Premiere 22.0. The footage I am using are mp4 files exclusively and the sound is directly integrated into those files. My experience with premiere and video editing are limited so please forgive me for any lack of knowledge.

export settings you can find above - all german sorry

I have attached a short version of one of my videos, so you can inspect it.

Turn off max render and max depth.

The mvi_5952_10 clip is 30fps. hence the out of syn?

One thing to check: do your frame rate settings match across the board from camera original to the sequence settinsg to the export settings? Are they all the same?

And the audio is definitely part of the video, it's not a separate file?

Hi John,
thanks for your reply! I checked and the camera footage has a frame rate of 25 fps and it matches the setting during the editing and exporting process.. I hope, I understood you correctly - I am German and so are my settings.
BTW this issue has happened to any video footage I import. So other projects have been affected in the same way.

Audio is definetly part of the footage. When I import it, it is all part of one MP4 file.

Any other ideas? Or input?

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:

Hi and thank you for your reply.
I downloaded MediaInfo and it didn't allow me any further insight into the file and the conversion of the file did not work for some reason...

I think there might just be one wrong setup in my settings that is messsing with my export. Or do you have any other ideas?

Try again, its freeware and save to use.

There is no conversion it just read the file's parameters.
