Export window won't open in seperate window

When I try to export a file, the export window is opening in my regular workspace instead of opening in a seperate "window" or "tab"

I have attached a screenshot how it looks when I use the hotkey CTRL + M or click on the top left export tab.

I need to resize that window so I can see stuff and it isn't cramped and when I go back to the Edit Tab I have to resize it back so the program monitor isn't cramped.

This recently started and is now always the case, no matter the sequence or project.

Any ideas how to fix that?
