Question

exporting from premiere to youtube still has black bars on youtube mobile

Please help.

I know you are able to export videos to youtube directly from premiere pro, and in doing so all fo the specs should be automatically inputed so that the setting will match the settings youtube requires so that your video gets uploaded without black bars.

Now, in looking at the videos I uploaded, on PC youtube the video looks fine, and they fill up the entire viewing screen, but on mobile it's a different story.

On mobile for some reason there are STILL black bars aligning the top and bottom of my videos! Does anyone know why this is the case? Please help!

Black bars on the side are a function of the display's aspect ration.

If you output say a 16:9 1920x1080 file, and the screen it's displayed on is 'wider' (like many cell phones) there may be either program window or black bars on the side, I've seen this both ways.

If the screen is a more 'square' screen, you'll have bars on the top and bottom.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

I would also like to add that putting the videos in fullscreen on PC puts the blackbars back, and the opposite occurs on mobile. My head is absolutely spinning.
