Exporting jpg sequence to match frame number in timeline

Question

Hi, I need to export my media to a jpg sequence starting from frame 1001 - or simply have the exported jpg frames, match the timeline.

I have my media at frame 1001. I have clicked on my sequence and selected the start frame option to be 1001. When i export the media as jpg, the frames rendered start at 0000.

I have tried setting the start time code in the export options, but it still generates frames at 0000.

I must be missing something. thanks for any advice!

This is such a bogus workaround, but try this...

Set your in point one frame early (so that there's one frame of black on the head of your in/out points).
Add ".10" to the end of your file name. This will trigger Premiere to export starting on frame 1000.
Export
Delete the first frame in your exported image sequence numbered "1000".

Your true export will start on frame 1001. Someone suggested this to me today and it blew my mind.
