Extra frames from one clip joining into the second clip

Hi there. Towards the end of my editing on my project - I noticed one to two freeze frames have been added to the end of my clips and also join onto the first few frames of the clip after. I'm working on a 2020 Imac with 64gb memory my footage is 4k at 24fps. I only noticed this problem after I added the Neat Video Plug to reduce noise, and Cinema Grade for the colour grade. Can anyone help me out?

I thought Premier can support variable frame rates?

Only sometimes. It is not really fully supported.

tell us your source properties and your sequence settings. by any chance are any of your sources from a smart phone or a screen capture? If so, the problem may lie with variable frame rate sources.

use mediainfo to determine whether your source is variable or constant frame rate

if it's variable use handbrake to convert to constant frame rate

Thanks for your response. Yes my clips are all from a smart phone and they
are all variable frame yet. However, I've already cut the project and
it's almost done. I thought Premier can support variable frame rates? I
will look into handbrake to see if this helps:)

gotta rush on this answer as I have to head in to the studio in a few
minutes.
Run your files thru handbrake to correct to constant frame rate. You
should then be able to unlink your clips in premiere and then relink to the
constant frame rate clips. Do a test on one clip first, but I have done
this without issues... so you won't lose any editing work, but you might
possibly want to adjust an edit here and there by a frame or 2. If this
isn't clear, post back and I'll elucidate further (the coffee's kicking in)
when I get in to the studio
